The first Soup event is coming to St. Cloud on Sunday, August 21 at 5pm in the sunroom at the Lake George Municipal Complex. St. Cloud Soup is a pot-luck community dinner that provides microgrants for projects that will improve the greater St. Cloud community.
To attend, simply bring soup, salad, or bread and join us for dinner. At the door, you will be asked for a suggested $5 donation, but any donation is appreciated. Next, you will hear from 3 amazing presenters with projects that will improve our community. After the proposals and questions, we will eat, discuss, and vote for the project that you think will improve the community the most.
At the end of the night, the presentation with the most votes will take home all of the money from the door. Join us as we begin “Feeding Community Projects” in St. Cloud. For updates and information, please be sure to like us on Facebook.
Do you have an idea or project that would improve the greater St. Cloud area? St. Cloud Soup is now accepting proposals for our August 21 dinner. Four proposals will be chosen to present at our first Soup dinner. The proposal that receives the most votes from the dinner participants will receive all of the money collected at the door to make their idea a reality.
There are only 2 rules to creating and presenting a proposal for a Soup mini-grant.
- Your project must improve the greater St. Cloud community.
- You cannot use technology to present your proposal (No Powerpoints or presentations that would require a projector).
Submit your proposal at our Submit a Proposal page. Best of luck!
